Pati with his latest CD release "Redemption"
Pati is one of Hawaii's best known R&B singers, from his stint as lead singer with the local vocal group DISGUYZ, to achieving star status with his hit solo CD, "Nesian". This CD featured the song "Island Girls," which was the first song to chart at #1 across the state in multiple radio formats simultaneously. His second CD, "Think of Me," continued where "Nesian" left off, giving Pati four more hit singles.
Pati performs for sellout crowds wherever he goes... Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, and in the mainland. He had the opportunity to perform live in front of over 250,000 people, and was broadcast singing the national anthem at the Staples Center for the Los Angeles Clippers on Fox Sports 2. He has also opened for Aswad, Coolio, Krayzie Bone, Eden's Crush, and Don Ho.
"Pati" was born Patrick Soi in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was raised in a neighborhood called Kam IV housing, in Kalihi. He grew up singing in church and around street corners. As a young man he loved listening to a capella music, then got into the "oldies" like the Temptations, the Drifters, the Four Tops, and others. R&B became Pati's passion and music was his life.
"Music to me is not only singing but sharing your life through lyrics, with heartfelt meaning," he says.
But for all his fame and achievement, like many other musicians, Pati fell upon hard times. Now, years later, he has come through his challenges and is ready to get back to work. For his upcoming release, "Redemption," Pati hopes to reach yet another level in his stairway of successes... to make a difference. He hopes that through his experiences in the past he can teach others. "My goal is to never give up on anything hard that comes my way," Pati explains, "to strive for the best... make sure that when something is promised to someone, never go back on your word."
Pati now resides in Provo, Utah with his family. He will be in concert Oct. 6 at the Pure Aloha Festival in Las Vegas at the Cannery Hotel and Casino.
