Bonafide Reggae Band
Bonafide was founded in Montego Bay, Jamaica by the Stephen's brothers in the early 1990's. The group consists of five members: Donovan ('Junior Roots'), Kevin, Wayne ('Wayne Bass'), Robert ('Ricky Dread'), and Kerry Bell. After performing on the hotel circuit in Jamaica for a few years, Bonafide decided to move to the United States in Las Vegas. Since that time, they have grown to be the most popular and sought after reggae band in Las Vegas and on the West Coast.
Bonafide has also toured extensively in Japan, Australia, Fiji, Hawaii and New Zealand, which was sold out with over 7,000 people. They have performed with major artists such as Fiji, Wialing Souls, Steel Pulse, the Marley Brothers and Michael Rose.
In 2000, Bonafide released their first CD, "Bonafide Love," which recieved great reviews from reggae fans and critics both in the U.S. and internationally. They are set to release their 2nd CD soon. For this new CD, "Reggae Time," Bonafide enlisted the talents of Luciano, Lexus, General B, Mesha from 702, and Fiji. The single "Reggae's Real" features Luciano, and is already getting good airplay in Vegas and Jamaica.
